Polo is a team sport played on horseback. The field is just over 9 acres with goals on both ends. After each score the teams change goals to keep the playing field even. Each team has four players numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4.  The #1 position is usually offense and #4 defense although all positions play both throughout the game. The #2 helps control the center of the field and the #3 is usually the team captain. The rules and fouls are imposed to keep the game safe and orderly. Besides that the game is simple, score more than the other team.
